TROLEX LAUNCH EX D CONNECTORS THAT REDUCE ASSEMBLY TIME FROM HOURS TO JUST A FEW MINUTES Manchester, UK - Building on its reputation for developing time and cost-efficient solutions, Trolex has announced the launch of its new Falcon Series. This range of robust Ex D Connectors not only reduces assembly times to around three minutes, but also dramatically improves safety as well as usability and maintenance options in-field.

The new Falcon Series has been engineered for purpose, following a considerable consultation period with both clients and end users. Trolex Chairman, John Pierce-Jones, comments: "People were telling us about three main concerns with the current connectors - firstly that connect/disconnect systems were vulnerable and time consuming, that make-off times were too long and that a hot-disconnect in a hazardous area is essential for maintenance. We believe that the Falcon Series solves all three of these problems."

Employing an innovative rear-loading assembly system that requires no special tools making off times are dramatically reduced. The connect/disconnect is a 2-stage bayonet coupling system that is almost instantaneous and is incredibly robust - just twist, push, fix and it's done. Even with a gloved hand!!

The Falcon Series is now available through PEI Genesis, Trolex's global distribution partner. Peter Christie, PEI's Business Development Manager for EMA, added: "The Falcon Series is not only going to save our customers a great deal of time, but also produce huge savings in a highly cost-sensitive market. The connectors are fully ATEX and IECEX approved for both Group 1 and 2 applications and we are confident that they will become industry standard in the very near future."
