Gas detectors (or gas monitors) are critical pieces of safety equipment used to protect life and property. Incorporating visual, vibration, and audible alarms, they warn users of atmospheric hazards including unsafe levels of toxic and explosive gases/vapors and low oxygen levels. Personal, wireless, and area gas detectors offer a reliable solution for many applications.
Gas detectors measure and display concentrations of gases and vapors in the air and in confined spaces. When a gas reading reaches a preset level, the gas detector will alarm preventing harmful exposures or worse. Instruments are available in multiple configurations, ranging from a single gas, 2, 3, 4 or 5 sensor multigas, or special configuration. The most common and most practical gas detectors are capable of detecting four gases at once. Some gas detectors can be linked together wirelessly to warn supervisors and other workers of hazards from a distance and can interact with software to provide a live monitoring and datalogging solution.
